In 2015 the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War is celebrated. StampNews.com hurries to inform that in honor of this anniversary Armenian Post released a commemorative postage stamp on the 8th of May.

The postage stamp depicts a military poster "We entered Berlin" with the inscription "89th Armenian division" in Armenian. This division (the only national formation in the Red Army) being commanded by Major-General Nver Safarian, was the first which entered Berlin in 1945.

Also the postage stamp depicts the famous attack aircraft "IL-2" with а board number 25 "Avenger" of twice Hero of the Soviet Union, legendary pilot Nelson Stepanyan as well as the soldiers of the 89th Taman triple order-bearer Armenian division, leaving for the front from the central square of Yerevan city.

In the bottom right corner of the postage stamp the logo of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War with a distinctive color scheme is depicted, and in the bottom part of the stamp a decorative pattern of one of the steles in the Park of "Victory" in Yerevan is placed.
