StampNews.com hurries to inform that Australian Post has released a special stamp issue that celebrates Netball World Cup SYDNEY 2015 (NWC2015), which will be held from 7 to 16 August 2015 at Sydney Olympic Park.

The top 16 netball nations from around the globe will compete over 10 days for international netball’s ultimate prize. The issue has been already unveiled and is due to be put into circulation on the 4th of August.

The four-yearly event, held since 1963, is a celebration of the sport of netball, which is the most popular women's team sport in Australia. NWC2015 marks the second time that Sydney has hosted the tournament, the last being in 1991, and the third time for Australia.

The 16 teams qualified via a series of Regional Qualifying Events held in all corners of the world. Set to compete this year are Australia, Barbados, England, Fiji, Jamaica, Malawi, New Zealand, Samoa, Scotland, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, Wales and Zambia.

The Australian Diamonds team is currently ranked No. 1 in the International Netball Federation's world rankings. Australia is the event's reigning champion, winning 10 out of 13 tournaments to date and coming second three times.
