StampNews.com is glad to inform that Belgian Post will release a set of stamps dedicated to different kinds of tapestry. The issue consists of five stamps that will be released and put into circulation on the 26th of January.

When it comes to tapestries, Belgian tapestries are some of the most well known throughout the world.

Belgian tapestries are known for their exceptional quality of design and presentation, from their centuries of mastery of the craft of tapestry making. Being the center of European tapestry production in the 17th century, they have carried these qualities into their making of modern tapestries to this day.

There's firstly the works which are related to the Belgium countryside such as Lake of Love, Children, and Riverside. There are also tapestries of Belgian castles including the enchanting Castle of Ooidonk.

There are the famous verdure tapestries which focus on the rendition of foliage, the forest and natural green landscapes. These include The Flemish Countryside, The Source and The Flemish Village. From the famous Oudenaarde region, the Flemish province of Flanders, from the 15th to the 18th century, comes works such as the Oudenaarde Garden, Verdure Oudenaarde and more.
