StampNews.com hurries to inform that the Philippine Postal Corporation has released new commemorative stamps to mark the 75th founding Anniversary of Ateneo De Naga University. The issue consists of two stamps that were unveiled and put into circulation on the 5th of June.
"The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) celebrates with excitement as we mark the 75th founding anniversary of Ateneo De Naga University and the launching of the special commemorative stamps to highlight the occasion", Postmaster General Josie Dela Cruz said.
The commemorative stamp and souvenir folder were designed by Meljohn Tatel (HS '96, College 2000) of the Ateneo High School Department while the official 75th anniversary logo was drawn by Ara Yosef Valiente (HS 2000, College 2004) of the Department of Digital Arts and Computer Animation.
PHLPost printed two designs of the stamps: the first one features the Golden Knight symbol, referred to the founding father of the Society of Jesus, St. Ignatius of Loyola, who was a soldier before his saintly conversion, while the second design features the iconic four pillars of the University.
Both stamps carry the slogan "Ateneo De Naga University 75 years of Magis. Living the Spirit. Forging new frontiers".
