According to information got by StampNews.com Russian Post has issued two stamps honoring the Russian fleet. This series consists of two stamps depicting such tugs types as "Sadko" and "Vitus Bering". The stamps have been issued on the 26th of August and are now available for purchasing.

Tug "Sadko" - a series of tug boat, designed to provide port services, rescue and environmental protection vessels. They were named so in honor of the epic Russian hero Sadko.

Tugs series are highly manoeuvrable modern ice-class vessels, equipped with bow towing winch, have a system of external fire fighting and able to escort the tanker tonnage. The vessels operate in the waters of the Far Eastern seas of Russia - the region of the active development of oil and gas on the continental shelf. Icebreakers are supply vessels to ensure uninterrupted functioning of oil platforms in the Sea of Okhotsk in the framework of the project "Sakhalin-1".
