According to info got by StampNews.com the Post Office in Victor (Montana) sells most breast cancer stamps in state. Last month, the Bitterroot Valley post office's customers dug deep into their pocket books to help find a cure for breast cancer.
In fact, no other post office in the state did as much business, said Victor Postmaster Jason Uskoski.
"Victor sold the most breast cancer stamps in the whole state of Montana", Uskoski said. "Our clerks just did a wonderful job. They asked customers if they would like to buy a breast cancer stamp and the response was fantastic".
Victor's post office sold a total of $1,233.10 in the stamps. Miles City was second with $1,045.
In comparison, Missoula's main post office sold $486.75.
The stamps were sold throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Customers who agreed to buy the special stamps paid an additional 9 cents per stamp. All of the money raised through the extra charge went directly to breast cancer research.
The post office has been selling breast cancer stamps since 1998.
Through 2011, Uskoski said $72 million has been raised to help offset research costs.
