According to info got by StampNews.com China Post released a set of two stamps to mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature. This meaningful event for Chinese culture took place on the 15th of September.
The set of two stamps are designed with an eye to two themes: "the people becoming their own master" and "managing state affairs according to law". The set will cost 2.4 yuan in total.
The first stamp features the Huairen Hall in Zhongnanhai, the headquarters of the Chinese government, where the first session of the National People's Congress opened on September 15, 1954.
The second stamp shows the Great Hall of the People, where the top legislature has held sessions since the second National People's Congress.
