StampNews.com is glad to inform that Brazil Post launched a series of two stamps marking the diplomatic relationships with Peru. The items depict place from the World Heritage List, highlighting the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, in Peru, and the city of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil, through their photographed and famous touristic landscapes.
One stamp portrays, between the mountains, the "lost city of the Incas", Machu Picchu. The second illustrates the city of Rio de Janeiro, which is represented by the mountains and the sea, with the Christ of Redeemer on the bottom corner of the stamp.
Both places are considered world heritage, and Machu Picchu and the Christ of Redeemer belong to the list of the new seven wonders of the modern world. The techniques used were photography and graphic computing.
