The Post Office released a commemorative stamp in honor of the centenary of the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB). The launch was held in Rio de Janeiro (RJ) and was attended by the President of the COB, Carlos Arthur Nuzman; Vice President of Logistics and Postal Orders, José Furyan Son and other honorable guests.
COB's president thanked the Postal tribute, remembering the company's support to the Brazilian sport as a sponsor of Olympic sports and the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio 2016.
"This crown stamp 100 years of Olympic Committee Brazil aims to create a sporting environment in which the Olympic ideals are confirmed," said Furyan.
In addition to the original symbols of the COB, the Brazil flag and Olympic Hoops, the commemorative stamp also includes the founding date, 1914, and the centennial of the organization, year 2014. With a circulation of 600,000 copies, stamps can be purchased in post offices of Brazil.
