Bob Eckstein, the author of 'The History of the Snowman', collected documents from the medieval period and researched artistic depictions from the European art and galleries. From his research, the mention of the snowman was found in 'Book of Hours', 1380 AD which was found in Koninklijke Bibliotheek, in The Hague.
