The Ukrainian post issued into circulation five new stamps united in the "Breads" block. The stamps feature the varieties of bread most popular in Ukraine: Loaf, Kalach, Boubliks (bagels), Black Rye bread and Wedding Korovai. In the fields of the block the process of bread making is illustrated, from reaping to finished products.

Loaf is a round decorated bread, Kalach is a ring-shaped bread typically served at Christmas and funerals, Boubliks are shaped into a circle representing the circle of life and family, Black Rye bread is traditionally made of rye, Wedding Korovai is a round, braided bread baked for weddings, its top is usually decorated with birds.
