The Council of Europe celebrates the 40th anniversary of the European Youth Centre in Strasbourg and the European Fund for Youth, with a new stamp issued on September 28, 2012.
The European Youth Centre is an educational establishment of the Council of Europe and is a knowledge base on youth issues, particularly in the areas of politics and labor.
Being an instrument of European youth participation in the construction of Europe, it helps to run the program of the Council of Europe. To this end, in the double perspective of lifelong learning and intercultural development, it provides a complement to the training of young leaders in the European context.
It is also a meeting place, established both in Strasbourg and Budapest, which promotes international understanding and research through the exchange of ideas and experiences.
