Consumer Protection Act, 1986 stamp from India

The Indian Post has issued a stamp to commemorate the Consumer Protection Act adopted in India in 1986. Consumer Protection Act of 1986 is an Indian federation law which was enacted to protect interests of consumers in India.

It makes provision for the establishment of consumer councils and other authorities for the settlement of consumers' disputes and for matters connected therewith.
