The Vietnamese Post has issued a set of two stamps depicting Plumeria flowers. Plumeria is a deciduous shrub native to the tropics and subtropics of America. The flower has no nectar but at night it emits a scent to attract butterflies to pollinate it. In Vietnam, plumeria is quite popular because of the easy propagation characteristics. For decoration purpose it is grown in temples, shrines and can be also used as medical plant.
