The post of Luxembourg issued three stamps united by the theme "Commemorative 2012" and celebrating different anniversaries: 75th anniversary of the Luxembourg Amateur Radio Society, 50th anniversary of the Arts et Lettres Section of the Institute Grand-Ducal and 75th anniversary of the Luxembourg Federation of Table Tennis.
The aim of the "Radioamateurs du Luxembourg" association is possibility to establish the radio connection between radio amateurs of Luxembourg and around the world and, thus, develop friendly relationships.
Arts et Lettres, the fifth of six sections of the Institute Grand-Ducal was formed in 1962 by Grand Ducal order on the initiative of then Minister of Arts and Sciences, Pierre Gregoire. The goal of the section is to cultivate arts and letters and to encourage all other artistic and cultural activities. The number of active members is limited to 39. The section is divided into six sub-sections: "French literature", "German literature", "Luxembourg literature", "Music", "Theatre, Dance, Cinema and Media" and "Plastic Arts and Architecture".
On 15 October 1936, the Federation Luxembourgeoise de Ping Pong under the presidency of Frantz Think was founded. Today, the Federation Luxembourgeoise de Tennis de Table (FLTT) includes 93 clubs with 4,200 members and manages a well developed system of competitions for individuals and teams and for all age categories.
