2011 marks the centenary of the birth of the Reverend Wilbert Awdry, Thomas the Tank Engine creator. A ten-stamp issue, six printed individually, celebrating the images familiar from the TV series, and a four stamp miniature sheet reflecting on the heritage of the book illustrations.
Thomas is naturally the 1st class value, with James as the 66p and Percy as the 68p. Daisy is the 76p while Toby is the £1.00 and Gordon the £1.10.
The four stamps in the miniature sheet show Thomas, James, Percy and Henry in scenes from the book with captions.
