The Argentina Post has issued a stamp commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Electric Power Federal Council.
The electricity sector in Argentina constitutes the third largest power market in Latin America. The Electric Power Federal Council (CFEE), created in 1960, plays a very important role in the sector as well. It is the administrator of funds that specifically target electricity operations and is also an adviser to the National and the Provincial Governments in issues relating to the power industry, public and private energy services, priorities in the execution of new projects and studies, concessions and authorizations, and electricity tariffs and prices. It is also an adviser for legislative modifications in the power industry.
The stamp features an illustrated map of Argentina with lights indicating large power plants and representing the scope of electricity to various parts of the country.
