Monument and 16th National Eucharistic Congress – Souvenir sheet from Brazil

This block reproduces, in dark colors and clear lines, famous architectural monuments in Brazil: the stamp on the right depicts the Catetinho (the first official residence of the President of the Republic in the new capital) and the statue of Juscelino Kubitschek (located in the JK Memorial). The stamp on the left shows the Metropolitan Cathedral (with the logo of the XVI National Eucharistic Congress on the left-hand side).

The block portrays, on the left, the logo of the 50th anniversary of Brazil; in the center, the Candangos Statue brings the two stamps together forming a se-tenant; and on the borders one can see the city's newest and most beautiful architectural works - the National Museum (next to the National Library/Cultural Complex of the Republic) and the JK Bridge. The block, in the shape of a bird, outlines on the upper part, in subtle lines, the Plano Piloto, against a composed background representing the Esplanada dos Ministerios, in the colors that prevail in April, the month Brazil was founded.
