Romanian-Argentinean Joint Stamp Issue – Mountain Lakes

In December 1930, the Romanian-Argentinean diplomatic relations were established at legation level. But the relationships of the two countries are older, dating back to 1880, continuing with the opening of a Romanian honorary consulate at Buenos Aires, in 1900.

Marking the 80th anniversary of diplomatic ties, this year Romfilatelia introduces into circulation a joint stamp issue (Romania - Argentina) illustrating the theme "Mountain Lakes."

To illustrate the stamps, the two countries have chosen Balea Lake in Romania and Nahuel Huapi Lake in Argentina.
