There are hundreds of reasons for congratulating someone or wishing them luck. Perhaps your good friend is getting married, a colleague has had a baby, it's someone's anniversary, their birthday, or they are about to embark on a sporting challenge. Sending your best wishes shows you care, and it's a nice gesture that makes people happy.
Swiss Post is issuing a new series of stamps that can be used to reiterate the message on congratulations letters and cards. The congratulations stamps are unusual, colourful and cheerful. Choose from wedding, new baby or anniversary motifs.
The three special stamps are the result of an artists' competition, with the winning motifs chosen in a public vote. Several artists each designed three motifs, then at the beginning of this year, the people of Switzerland were asked to choose their favourites. More than 16,000 people voted - more than ever before. The winning motifs were designed by Sabina Oberholzer and Renato Tagli, a graphic design duo from the Canton of Ticino.
