‘Jersey Nature’ series

On 15th October 2009, Jersey Post will issue the third set of postage stamps featuring Fungi in its 'Jersey Nature' series.

There are many species of fungi to be found throughout the landscape of Jersey. The sheer number produces shapes, sizes, colours and toxicology that are as varied as they are numerous. Jersey Post was aided by suggestions from Nick Aubin, Chairman of the Mycology Section of the Societe Jersiaise, when choosing the fungi to be depicted on the stamps.

Jersey Post's Nature - Fungi III stamps feature:

37p - Parrot Wax-cap
42p - Russula sardonia
45p - Velvet Foot
55p - Honey Fungus
61p - Orange Peel Fungus
80p - Jewelled Deathcap
