Stamp collection celebrates 250th anniversary of Kew Gardens

The Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew will celebrate 250 years in a series of stamps showing some of the most well known sites from the world famous gardens.

The set of four stamps will show the 18th Century Pagoda and Victorian Palm House as well as more modern developments such as the Millennium Seed Bank and Sackler Crossing.

Royal Mail is also issuing new stamps showing 10 species of endangered British plants. The stamps show plants like Lady's Slipper Orchid, Dwarf Milkwort, Marsh Saxifrage, Floating Water Plantain, Downy Woundwort, Round Headed Leek, Plymouth Pear and Sea Knotgrass.
