The special feature of the issue is that the stamps can be bought as part of a six-part board game.
The six playing sheets make up a fun game for children to playfully learn about stamp collecting as the name itself, PHILAVILLAGE, refers to philately. The last part of the series will be issued at the beginning of November 2008.
The stamps show the busy lives of the inhabitants of PHILAVILLAGE. On the ninth and tenth stamps of the series children can see the village station and lido. The first day cover for the series introduces the friendly villagers, while the main motif of the postmark is a stylized bear's head.
