1 votedvote

The cap of the yellow cracked boletus (Xerocomus subtomentosus) is 4-10 cm in diameter. It matures on the ground in mixed woods and heaths. It is not common but can be found sporadically. It is a good, tasty mushroom. Sheathed woodtuft (Kuehneromyces mutabilis) is 3-6 cm across. It is common in dense clusters on stumps or trunks of deciduous trees.
