Germany: 100 Years Die Brucke

On 7 June 1905 the students of architecture Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Fritz Bleyl, Erich Heckel and Karl Schmidt Rottluff brought the group of artists "Die Brucke" into being.

The establishment of the "Die Brucke" marks the beginning of an artistic movement, which entered under the designation "expressionism" history of art. It represents the most important German contribution for the art of the modern trend.
