‘Hello’ in official South African languages

The South African Post Office issued a set of eight stamps, featuring the South African flag and "Hello" in the different languages spoken in South Africa, to celebrate World Post Day on 9 October 2005.

South Africa has two major language groups, the Nguni and Sotho, which in turn have their own subgroups and many other small dialect groups. Nguni subgroups are IsiZulu, IsiXhosa, IsiNdebele and IsiSwati while the Sotho subgroups are Sesotho sa Lebowa, Setswana as well as Southern Sotho.
