StampNews.com is exciting to inform all comics and philately enthusiasts that the U.S. Postal Service has prepared for releasing four different stamps in honor of the iconic superhero's 75th anniversary.
Each of the new Wonder Woman forever stamps will show the famous comic book character as she appeared during different periods of her 75-year history.
The four stamp designs show how Wonder Woman has appeared during four different eras of comic book history: Golden Age (generally characterized as the 1930s to 1950s), Silver Age (1950s to 1970), Bronze Age (1970 to mid-1980s) and Modern Age (mid-1980s to present).
The first-day-of-issue ceremony will take place at New York's Comic-Con in October.
It's not the first time Wonder Woman has been featured on a U.S. stamp. The Postal Service said the warrior princess appeared on a stamp in 2006 during the agency's first stamp pane that honored superheroes. Wonder Woman fans can also look forward to the debut of the live action movie, Wonder Woman, starring actress Gal Gadot in June 2017.
