The Apex Auctions Public Sale 146 takes place at Lingfield Park Racecourse on Sunday March 20th, with 1200 lots and pre-sale estimates of around £500,000 going under the hammer.

The auction features over 100 box lots, a particularly strong range of one country British Commonwealth collections and one of the best sections of GB and Commonwealth singles we have offered.

Some highlights (see images below), include lot 653: a fine marginal u/m £5 orange, estimate £6,500 to £8,000; lot 991: a fine used Gibraltar 1925 £5 with RPS, estimate £3,000 to £3,500; Lot 1032: Jamaica 1919 1/- used with inverted centre, cat £25,000 [some faults, but one of only 19 known], estimate £3,000 to £3,500; and lot 1137: Seychelles 1938 9c marginal u/m with inverted watermark [a great rarity, listed for the first time in this year’s Part 1], estimate £3,500-£4,000.

Also look out for lot 1167: St. Helena 15/- fine mint with ‘Torn flag’ variety, only a handful known, estimate £4,000 to £4,500; and lot 1171: 1961 Tristan Relief set fine used, estimate £1,800-£2,200.
