StampNews.com is glad to inform that Swiss Post issued a series of five stamps depicting beautiful works of Prince Eugen. The series was released and put into circulation on the 15th of January.

Prince Eugen was born in 1865 as the fourth son of King Oscar II and Queen Sophia. In 1887 he went to Paris to train as an artist. Prince Eugen was one of his era foremost landscape painters, and here are five of his works.

During his lifetime attracted Prince Eugen success, but he was unsure how future generations would come to value his art. However, with works such as "The Cloud" and "The Old Castle" is Prince Eugen prominent position among the Swedish landscape artists entrenched, not only in our time but also in the future.
