StampNews.com is glad to inform that Monaco Post has prepared fo issuing a special dedicated to the following theme – "Nudity in art". The stamp depicts La nymphe Salmacis, a work by Monegasque sculptor François-Joseph Bosio (1768–1845). The item has been already designed and is to be put into circulation on the 9th of April.

His major works are to be found in Paris: 20 bas-reliefs for the column in Place Vendôme, the equestrian sculpture Louis XIV in Place des Victoires, for which he received the title of Baron, the Quadriga of the Arc de Triomphe du Carroussel, and Henry IV as a Child, Aristaeus and Hercules Wrestling Achelous, all three of which are in the Louvre.
