StampNews.com is glad to inform that Argentinian Post presented the post issue “Personalities: Nelson Mandela”, upon completion last December 5th the first anniversary of the death of former South African president.
The event was held at the Embassy of the Republic of South Africa, and was attended among others by HRH Princess Zenani Dlamini, daughter of Nelson Mandela and turn ambassador for her country in Argentina, and Juan Claudio Tristan, President of Official Mail.
This is an issue of particular characteristics, in this case honoring an international figure that transcended the borders of his country to become a universal symbol of the struggle for equality.
The stamp shows a photograph of Mandela, the legend “Rolihlaha Nelson Mandela 1918-2013″ and in metallic ink, a Spanish translation of the phrase “True leaders must be prepared to sacrifice everything for the freedom of his people,” pronounced by Mandela in 1998 as part of the celebrations for the centenary of the birth of Chief Albert Luthuli, South African professor and politician in 1960 awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his fight against apartheid.
