StampNews.com got to know that Greenland Post has released two stamps from the series of river illustrations by Camilla Nielsen which have been given to guitar tutor John Hansen, in connection with the aim of promoting knowledge of and interest in Greenland minstrelsy. The issue is to be released and put into circulation on the 19th of January.

Two notable, historical figures created the two songs: poet and composer Jonathan Petersen (1881-1961) wrote 'Takoranneqaaq imaq - Nuup ikersua' in English 'Great is the sea in Nuuk inlets' while pastor, writer and composer Otto Rosing (1896-1965) wrote 'Tarrilivissup seqerna qulaani', in English 'From the top view last glimpse of the sun's rays.

The former mentioned song, Camilla has so artistically interpreted on the stamp G553 with a value of DKK 49.00, while she has illustrated the latter song on the stamp G552 that has a value of DKK 0.50.
