According to info received by StampNews.com, philatelists have given the Bundaberg Philatelic Society's annual Stamp Fair their stamp of approval as young and old browsed collections from across the world.
Club publicity officer Sharon Alexander said yesterday's event provided stamp club members from across Queensland, including Brisbane, Gladstone and Nanango, the opportunity to get together and also encouraged community members to take up stamp collecting.
"It's well supported by stamp groups with members buying and sell their stamps", Ms Alexander said.
"Each year we hope to encourage more people to get interested in stamp collecting".
Ms. Alexander said some of the most interesting stamps were those with a space and astronomy theme and new stamps from a variety of countries.
"Russia has some space stamps which are very unique", she said.
