StampNews.com got to know that Monaco Post issued a special stamp on occasion of Universal Children's Day. The stamp depicts a chain of children that make a circle around the planet. Such an image symbolizes the unity and friendship of all the children from around the world. The issue was released on the 1st of September and is now available for purchasing.

At the instigation of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, the Principality of Monaco marks Universal Children's Day every year on 20th November. It was on this date in 1989 that the international Convention on the Rights of the Child was ratified by the UN General Assembly. The Department of Education, Youth and Sport organizes an awareness campaign in schools on the theme of the Rights of the Child.

Numerous activities are held in order to raise money to help children whose most basic rights are not respected.
