To celebrate the bonds of friendship and cooperation between two countries rich in biodiversity, Brazil's special stamp issue was released. The Vice President of Postal Affairs, Morgana Cristina Santos, represented the state at the event, which also was attended by the Ambassador of the Philippines in Brazil, Eva Betita, and director of the department of East Asia, Ambassador Francisco Mauro Brazil Netherlands.

"This is the first time that Brazilian stamps revere the Philippines. To the Post, this release has an extremely important significance because it goes against one of the universal principles that advocates the union of peoples and nations around worthy causes, such as to protect the animal species threatened with extinction," said the leader .

Special issue portrays, through techniques of computer graphics and photography, endangered birds - including the Philippine Eagle, the country's best known and existing only at that location. But Brazil is represented by the gray eagle, considered a hawk large national fauna.

The run is 600 thousand stamps with face value of R$2.90 each. They can be purchased at post offices of Brazil.
