StampNews.com is glad to inform that Lithuania Post is already inviting to think of Christmas presents and greetings by issuing two new stamps dedicated to Christmas and the New Year . The items and a pre-paid Christmas postcard were put into circulation on the 8th of November.
"During Christmas season, citizens send many greetings in a form of postcards, letters, and small packages with presents. To make the greetings as festive as possible, every year we release special stamps before Christmas. As always, we are going to release two postage stamps: one for addressees in Lithuania, and another one will be used for international items", Head of Philatelic Department of Lithuania Post Ervinas Vaišnoras said.
The new postage stamps have been created by Augustina Gruzdytė, an 18-year-old schoolgirl from Vilnius. The nominal value of the stamp intended for domestic items is LTL 1.35 (EUR 0.39), and the one for foreign countries – LTL 2.80 (EUR 0.81). Each stamp will be issued in the edition of 750 thousand copies.
