The Israel Philatelic Service, Israel Postal Company has issued two special stamp sheets to mark the historic visit of Pope Francis to Israel. The first stamp sheet was issued on the day the Pope visits Jerusalem, May 26 2014 in a limited numbered edition and is almost sold out.

Now, after the visit, The Israel Philatelic Service, Israel Postal Company has produced another stamp sheet in a limited and numbered edition containing 12 postage stamps and evocative images of Pope Francis during his historic visit to Israel.  Each stamp sheet is numbered like a lithograph. The stamp sheet is showcased in an attractive booklet with exclusive articles written by Henrique Cymerman, journalist, and personal friend of Pope Francis.  The booklet is also features a collection of quotes from the Pope's addresses during his tour of Jerusalem.

This is a most unique souvenir – in three languages: Hebrew, English and Spanish.

Yaron Razon, Director of the Israel Philatelic Service said " this special souvenir, documenting the historic visit of Pope Francis to Israel, was produced amidst the friendly atmosphere prevailed here due to Pope Francis's unique personality.

This memento is a must for any collector in Israel and around the world, and together with the first product issued ahead of the visit, this is a gesture of respect and good will on behalf of the State of Israel."
