He added that these stamps depicted Domestic Animals of Botswana and reflected a theme of life in Botswana.
Speaking at the launch, the Head of Business Development Mr. Cornelius Ramatlhakwane said previous stamp issues have frequently focused on Botswana's wild animals, most recently 'Spectacular Birds' followed by 'Lions of Chobe'.
"Today's stamp issue will for the first time, focus on ‘Domestic Animals in Botswana', illustrating their close integration with our lives," said Ramatlhakwane.
The stamp issue is officially released on 1st August, 2014, and consists of six stamps of which four stamps (cattle, goats, chickens and donkeys) depict rural life while two stamps (cats and dogs) are being shown in an urban setting, noting the value of life that the dog adds in both urban and rural setting.
