StampNews.com got the information that Italian Post has issued a new stamp with a theme: "Association of Italian Catholic Guides and Scouts". This stamp was released on the 7th of August in honor of the 40th anniversary of its founding.

The Associazione Guide e Scouts Cattolici Italiani is a Catholic Scouting and Guiding association in Italy. AGESCI is coeducational and has 176,382 members and 32,126 leaders (including 1,971 priests), making it the largest Scout association of the country.

In 1986 Pope John Paul II was given the Wood Badge insignia as honorary AGESCI leader.
