The designs include Deng's participation in the Baise Uprising, the Sixth Special Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the 12th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and the Inspection of Southern China. The total face value of the set of four commemorative stamps is 5.40 yuan.
Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday vowed to uphold socialism with Chinese characteristics and warned against blindly copying the experience of other countries amid China's ongoing reforms.
His remarks came at a symposium in Beijing, the latest in several high-profile activities marking the 110th anniversary of the birth of late leader Deng Xiaoping, which falls on Friday.
Xi said the most important political and theoretical legacies of the late Chinese leader are socialism with Chinese characteristics, which the Party and people created under the leadership of Deng.
China will never belittle itself nor forget its roots, said Xi, adding that the country's contemporary history has proven the only right way to solve problems in China is to do so in its own way and based on its own reality.
To commemorate the occasion, the official biography and collected works of late leader Deng Xiaoping were published on Wednesday, ahead of the 110th anniversary of his birth on Friday.
