Brazilian stamp block commemorating Frutal and the International Year of Water Cooperation was issued.
Frutal was commemorated on the International Year of Water Cooperation stamps by the Brazilian Correios as one of three cities hosting the UNESCO-HidroEX. The event is taking place on Friday, 22 of March.
The stamp design is represented by the peaceful and sustainable use of water resources through the use of a dropper that goes inside, outside and around the globe. Water is displayed cyclically, symbolizing sustainable use. The stamp also highlights its accessibility to the entire planet.
The design conveys the water effect on our planet and people: a piece of arid soil being taken by green trees, planting favours human development, environmental integrity and the eradication of poverty and hunger.
Above the block, there is the logo of the International Year of Water Cooperation - 2013. Inspired by this brand, in the background, there is an abundant amount of water in motion to give organic rhythm, life and strength to the composition.
