The nation known globally as the Rock of Gibraltar has participated in exhibition around the globe, however this is its first inclusion in an Israel hosted show. To commemorate our participation, the Gibraltar Postal Authority will be releasing a special commemorative souvenir sheet depicting scenes of Yaffo-Tel Aviv.

This special sheet will be released in limited edition of only 2000 units printed for world-wide distribution and will be available to the public at NIS 5.00. There will be a limit of 2 sheets per customer and offered on a first come basis. In addition, to encourage younger participants, Gibraltar Post will offer a free give away of the acclaimed souvenir sheet honoring legendary musician John Lennon to the first 100 children under the age of 16 daily.

Gibraltar is proud of its relationship with the Jewish nation. Jews of Gibraltar have prospered and been one of the largest religious minorities in the city, where they have made contributions to the culture, defense, and Government of Gibraltar. There has been a Jewish presence in Gibraltar for more than 650 years.

During Gibraltar's tercentenary celebration, Jonathan Sacks, the Chief Rabbi of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth, was quoted as saying, "In the dark times of expulsion and inquisition, Gibraltar lit the beacon of tolerance," and that Gibraltar "is probably the community where Jews have been the most integrated."

Other beautiful stamps from Gibraltar will be on display and available for sale. TEL AVIV 2013 Stamp Exhibition will be held at The Israel Trade& Convention Center, Pavilion 12 , Tel Aviv-Yafo between May 26-30, 2013 and is organized by the Israel Philatelic Federation and the Israel Post /Philatelic Service.
