Thai post issued a set of "Preeminent Protector of Arts and Crafts" postage stamps created in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit's 80th birthday on August 12, 2012 and Her Majesty the Queen's role as a "Great Artist Who Protects Arts and Crafts." The postage stamps are the creation of the Ministry of Culture, the Culture Promotion Fund, and the Department of Culture Promotion of Thailand in cooperation with the Chakrabhand Foundation.

The "Preeminent Protector of Arts and Crafts" postage stamp set features six portraits of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit painted by Mr. Chakraphand Posayakrit, winner of Thailand's National Artist award for Visual Arts (painting) in the year 2000.  This is the 999th set of Thai postage stamps with the official emblem of the celebration of the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty the Queen's 80th birthday placed at the top of the stamp sheet.
