Jersey post issued stamps featuring military vehicles.

Military vehicles have been part of Island life since the start of the five year military occupation of Jersey by the German army. At the end of WWII, many of the vehicles were le‑ behind, others were shipped over from the UK and collectors began to restore them, driving them around the Island and taking part at local events to encourage awareness as well as raising money for war-related charities. One such charity is Holidays for Heroes Jersey (H4HJ), which was formed in 2008 to respond to the respite needs of those injured by their military service by allowing then to benefit from the holiday facilities Jersey has to offer. It is actively supported by its patron, the Lieutenant Governor of Jersey, His Excellency General Sir John McColl and two Ambassadors, English Rugby International and Jerseyman, Mr Matt Banahan and Falklands Veteran Mr Simon Weston OBE. Six stamps depict a selection of Jersey's privately-owned military vehicles and the H4HJ logo. The Prestige Booklet (priced at £15.84) contains four panes of stamps together with additional artwork and informative text.

Jersey Post is pleased to announce that 5% of its philatelic sales of the Military Vehicles issue will be donated to Holidays for Heroes Jersey.
