Correos de Mexico issued a stamp to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Mexican Army. In February 1913, the Congress of Coahuila State issued a decree that allowed the birth of the Constitutional Army in Mexico. With the promulgation of the 1917 Constitution, the Constitutional Army became legal, and over time managed to unite in its environment other revolutionary factions that were still scattered across the country. This allowed to fully launch the process of professionalization and modernization of the army.

Soon the Constitutional Army changed its name to the Mexican Army. Later, as recognition of his important event, the "Mexican Army Day" was proclaimed as a feast of the Nation celebrated each year on the 19 of February. This celebration became a tradition when the Armed Forces Institute reconfirms its commitment to service to Mexican people and their legally constituted institutions.

As part of the centennial celebration of the Mexican Army, the Mexican Postal Service, Correos de Mexico, issues a commemorative postage stamp. It illustrates the facade of the Military College building, the armed service of the Mexican people and the emblem of Remembrance.
