India post released a Commemorative stamp on the occasion of Nagaland State's Golden Jubilee Year Celebrations and Hornbill Festival 2013 at Kisama at Nagaland.

Reminding the people of Nagaland that 2013 is of special significance as the state is going to celebrate its golden jubilee this year, chief minister Neiphiu Rio said President Pranab Mukerjee has agreed to visit the state and launch the year-long celebrations on December 1 this year.

"I call upon all citizens of the state to participate in the celebration of this momentous occasion," stated Rio.

The CM said the Hornbill Festival will be a 10-day event this year, due to its worldwide recognition, adding that the Hornbill National Rock Contest has evolved into an international rock contest this year.
