Every year, Aland Post arranges a public vote for the most beautiful stamp of the year. In 2012, votes could be cast on 12 different stamp series. The Dragonfly stamps issued on 4 June were chosen as the most beautiful series with a total of 25% of the votes. Created by artist Torbjorn Ostman they feature the bluish-green Southern Hawker and the blood-red Ruddy Darter.
