Children’s Day stamp from India

Jawahar Lal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India was born on 14th November. His birthday is celebrated as Children's Day in India, as he loved children and was popularly known as Chaha Nehru (Uncle Nehru) amongst the children of India. Apart from other programs, special postage stamps are issued every year on this day. The latest Children's Day Stamp was issued on 14th November 2012. The stamp depicts an imaginative picture of the artist about the postal service in the year 2050.
