For the celebrations of the end of the year 2012, the Office des Timbres of Luxembourg is releasing two “Christmas” stamps because of high demand.
The first, with a face value of 0.60 + 0.05 € is for national mail whereas the second, with a value of 0.85 + 0.10 €, is for franking mail sent to other European countries.
The stamps, of a graphic design, were created by the artist Michel Olmic. As early as 2002, a first stamp for the Office des Timbres of Luxembourg was created with an illustration by Michel Olmic.
In 2004, in the category of “Europa Vacation”, Olmic won the prize for the most beautiful stamp of Luxembourg for his illustration representing the Müllerthal region.
