Monaco has issued a stamp commemorating the centennial of the League for the Birds Protection. With 45,000 members, the League for the Birds Protection is today one of the leading associations for the protection of nature in France. It takes actions everyday to safeguard biodiversity. Its activity focuses on three main missions: protection of species, conservation of areas, education and awareness. The stamp features the Woodchat Shrike (Lanius senator), a bird species protected at the national level in France.
